Join us @ 4PM BST for an all-new episode of The Cannibalist Manifesto. Today, it’s all about women…More specifically, I found that as I was prepping for today’s set, about 80% of the music I was considering was either performed by, featured or was remixed by women, so I decided to fill in the other 20% with some classics and favorites (Brazilian artists in particular) and soon I had a full set.

Many of the tracks come from the Kickstarter comp that Ad Hoc gave away as part of it’s supporter packages, so massive props to them, both for creating this brilliant comp and for successfully launching an essential new voice about outsider art and music. You should be reading AdHoc.fm religiously…

Well, this drought is really killing us, isn’t it? Forty days and forty nights of good old biblical style torrential downpouring has lead to the inevitable country-wide hosepipe ban, and there isn’t a thing we can do about it. As the saying goes – it’s no use rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. But a few of the iyrie! faithful have been asking when there’s going to be ‘another of those weird mixes you do’, so here it is – the usual cornucopia of quirky oddities to listen along to as the rain bounces off the caravan roof. When it’s like this everyones mood is up and down like the undergarments of a lady of ill virtue, so let’s hope a few tunes can bring a little ray of sunshine amongst the gloom.
